ECO Canada's Student Work Placement Program offers wage subsidies to eligible employers hiring students for environmental roles in science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics (STEAM), or business. Employers can receive up to 50% of a student's wages, to a maximum of $5,000, for placements lasting between 6 and 16 weeks. The program is funded by the Government of Canada through the Employment and Social Development Program.
