This funding initiative has the goal of increasing the job readiness of students registered in STEM, healthcare, or business-related programs at Canadian post-secondary institutions. It provides 50% of the wages (up to a maximum of $5,000) for each new placement and 70% of the wages (up to a maximum of $7,000) for each new placement for under-represented groups. These groups include women in STEM, Indigenous students, newcomers, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, and first-year students.
