About

The Magnet Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) is a wage subsidy funded by the Government of Canada. It helps Canadian private-sector and not-for-profit employers hire domestic post-secondary students for paid co-op, internship, field placement or applied project roles linked to their studies. Employers pay the full wages, and the subsidy is paid after the placement ends and documents are submitted. The Fall 2026 intake is open for placements between September 1 and December 31, 2026.
