Tax Holiday for Foreign Researchers and Experts

This tax holiday is designed to facilitate the recruitment of foreign researchers outside Canada whose expertise meets the needs of Québec's private businesses for the implementation of innovation projects. The hired foreign researcher will be benefiting from a tax holiday on provincial income tax for up to 60 months after beginning their new position. Please note this tax incentive will no longer be available as of December 31, 2025.
