About

The Career Ready program provides a wage subsidy to Canadian businesses and non-profits that offer tech-focused work placement opportunities to students for 12-16 weeks. The program covers 50% of the wages to a maximum of $5,000 for each new placement. This initiative is part of the Government of Canada's Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). Please note that the increased subsidy for under-represented groups is no longer being offered. Applications are currently being accepted for both the Summer and Fall 2026 terms.
