Funded by the Government of Canada through the Student Work Placement Program, Propel offers registered Canadian businesses and NPOs related to the tourism and hospitality sector a wage subsidy in order to hire students. Funding provides up to 50% of the wages for each new placement, to a maximum of $5,000. To qualify for the subsidy, students hired must be domestic post-secondary students in recognized Canadian programs with a work placement component who are legally authorized to work in Canada.
